        Fighting for The Last 60 Meters of the Left Hole of Dakang No.1 Tunnel of Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway

        According to the construction side of the sixth engineering Co., LTD., the Dakang No. 1 Tunnel is located in Dakang Town of Jiangyou. It is a separated four-lane expressway long tunnel and the major control project. The single tunnel is 3300 meters long, and the left and right lines of the project are 1,650 meters long. The tunnel has a ring frame type door and it is the longest one of the three of Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang high speed, with 1 car crossing hole 1 and 4 pedestrian crossing hole. The right tunnel was open on Dec. 26 last year after 647 days of fighting.
        Dakang No. 1 tunnel is a karst tunnel, and the whole surrounding rock is broken, which lacks of self-stability and passes through 4 broken zones and 1 fissure dense zone, among which the large deformation section is 512 meters, so the tunnel construction is difficult. At present, the last 60 meters of the tunnel left hole is under intensive excavation, which is expected to be completed in February.
        There are 3 tunnels with a total length of 6586 meters (single frame), 18 bridges (including 3 rigid frame bridges) with a total length of 5829 meters, and 2 interchanges. In total, there are 565 pile foundations, 274 cylindrical piers, 12 thin-wall piers (up to 55.572 meters), 135 cover beams, 701 prefabricated T beams and 200 prefabricated box beams. The section is long and the construction organization is difficult, which has many hazard sources and high risks. What’s more, the ecology is fragile on the way, surrounded by scenic spots and challenged by high environmental protection requirements. In view of these difficulties, CCCC No. 6 Engineering Co., Ltd. gives priority to planning construction sideways, and pulls through the lifeline of vertical and horizontal sideways to promote the smooth entry of project production resources. At the same time, the leading group of expropriation and demolition coordination was set up. During the construction, it actively coordinated with the owners, the municipal coordination headquarters and the towns, promoted the coordination of expropriation and demolition work, and the construction schedule of the project was generally controllable. "We are confident to win the decisive battle of the Kowloon Highway construction." The sixth engineering Co., LTD., a company in charge said.
        It is understood that in 2021, in Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang expressway, 23 kilometers, from Zhangjiaping to Taiping in Jiangyou was completed, and 32 kilometers, from Pingwu to Muzuo, was completed, which includes 5 large Bridges, 5 Bridges, 8 culverts, 3 long tunnels, 2 long tunnels and 2 medium and long tunnels.
